Did Doctor Strange know that Thor's umbrella was Mjolnir in Thor: Ragnarok?

Did Doctor Strange know that Thor's umbrella was Mjolnir in Thor: Ragnarok? Originally Answered: When Thor and Dr. Strange first meet, does Dr. Strange know that Thor's "umbrella" is actually Mjolnir? Good question. My answer would be yes, Dr Strange knows that Thor’s umbrella is Mjolnir. Why? Well we go back to  Thor: Ragnarok. Thor goes back to Asgard and Loki is exposed, acting as Odin in disguise. The brothers have to go to Earth to find Odin so Mjolnir is disguised as an umbrella. Thor goes to New York to the Sanctum Sanctorum to meet Dr Strange, seeking directions to find Odin who is revealed to be in Norway. Here Mjolnir is disguised as an umbrella. I am certain Dr Strange knew the Mjolnir was disguised. This was part of his conversation with Thor when they first met: Dr Strange:  God of Thunder (Thor holds up the umbrella to defend himself) Dr Strange: You can put down the umbrella  (Thor looks at Strange and rests his umbrella down. When he looks back...

Who is the most overpowered superhero/villain in the cinematic universe?

Image
Who is the most overpowered superhero/villain in the cinematic universe? It’s not Doomsday. It’s not Surtur. It’s not Steppenwolf. It’s not Thanos. It’s Dormammu. Quite easily at that. He was stated to have consumed countless worlds and dimensions. He constantly feeds on entire universes to nourish himself. He is the  single  most powerful being in the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe. Even Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet doesn’t hold a candle. The Infinity Gauntlet has enough power to destroy a universe and even create an entirely new one. However, Thanos with  all 6 Infinity Stones  would have been  utterly  crushed in a contest of raw power. Dormammu transcends space and time beyond our singular universe. In other words,  he’s a freak of nature.  Thanos wouldn’t have been able to rival the power output Dormammu presented. The physical toll on his body would have killed him before that even happened. You see those severe burn marks on hi...

What was the most emotional line said by an Avenger in the entire MCU?

What was the most emotional line said by an Avenger in the entire MCU? Good question. My pick would be from  Avengers: Endgame.  The line comes specifically from Thor. The Avengers successfully complete the Time Heist to collect the Infinity Stones. They prepare to undo the Snap, which Thanos did five years ago to bring back everyone dusted. The following conversation ensues: Rocket:  All right the glove’s ready. Question is who’s gonna snap their freaking fingers? Thor:  I’ll do it Scott:  Excuse me? Thor:  It’s okay Everyone:  (holding back Thor) no, no, no. Whoa. Stop. Stop. Wait a sec. Hey, hey- Steve:  Wait, wait Thor, just wait. We haven’t decided who’s gonna put that on yet. Thor:  I’m sorry. What we’re just sitting around waiting for the right opportunity? Scott:  We should at   least discuss it Thor:  No, no. Sitting here staring at that thing is not going to bring everyone back. I’m the strongest Avenger, okay? ...

How did Doctor Strange become so powerful and skilled in the mystic arts by the time of Avengers: Infinity War?

How did Doctor Strange become so powerful and skilled in the mystic arts by the time of Avengers: Infinity War? I think some people missed an obvious explanation here, actually. Well, a couple of obvious explanations actually. First, let’s backtrack to some of the complaints against Doctor Strange in his  own  movie. Some people pointed out it was weird that he could pick up the Mystic arts in such a short span of time, exceeding the expectations of his teachers. But I think they missed this little tidbit: That’s Doctor Strange, using his astral form to study as he’s asleep. Right then and there he’s giving his productivity a huge boost because he can spend time learning and training while his body sleeps. His astral form could be giving him anywhere from 5–9 hours of extra studying every single night. Not bad. Another thing to consider is a later scene: The Ancient One uses her astral form to slow down time for herself. She stretches one moment into a thousand, squeezin...

Why did Doctor Strange only use his powers in Avengers: Endgame to hold back water? Couldn’t one of the other sorcerers done that, while he helped fight Thanos? Could he have put a mirror realm over Wanda when she was destroying Thanos?

Why did Doctor Strange only use his powers in Endgame to hold back water? Couldn’t one of the other sorcerers done that, while he helped fight Thanos? It happens with most characters in the MCU; if they accidentally overpowered them, they need to find a way to put them to the side. Captain Marvel was pushed to the side until the very end of the movie, and Wanda didn't get any cool fight scenes until her one on one with Thanos. There's really no reason why another sorcer...

Why was Captain America able to hold Stormbreaker if in Infinity War Thor said mortals could not hold such weapon?

Why was Captain America able to hold Stormbreaker if in Infinity War Thor said mortals could not hold such weapon? Here’s what Thor says about Stormbreaker (and general, powerful dwarven weaponry) in  Infinity War : “You simply lack the strength to wield them. Your bodies would crumble as your minds collapsed into madness.” The operative word here is  wield , which dictionary.com defines as “to use (a weapon, instrument, etc.) effectively; handle or employ actively“. Holding Stormbreaker is not the same as wielding. Watch the clip from  Endgame  again; Steve simply holds the axe for a second and makes no attempt to use its power. I could make the argument that Steve doesn’t quite count as a mortal anymore - after all, whoever wields Mjolnir shall possess the power of Thor - but it doesn’t matter for this question WHO WAS WANDA TALKING ABOUT AT THE END OF ENDGAME? WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE FOR MARVEL MOVIES ON MAY? WHY DID DOCTOR STRANGE NOT BATTLE THANOS (AVENGERS: ...

What is on the bottom side of Asgard?

Image
What is on the bottom side of Asgard? I have asked myself this question A LOT. So what do we know? Asgard floats like a planet but is flat and the city and all are built on the top side Things actually fall off the edge (eg. Loki, water), so the gravity isn’t centred towards the middle but just downwards Asgard is deep?? I was surprised that it has such a deep ‘basement’. Like where the dead soldiers of Hela were and the place where the Aether was stored. I mean, it’s a fictional planet but I can assume that you can’t really build a city (like the one on top) ‘underneath’ Asgard (gravity). I’m going to be boring and assume that Asgard is like a big rock? It’s simply a stone crust/bottom. The material of that crust/bottom is questionable though. It appears to have some kind of crystalline structure? So perhaps the answer to your question is crystals? WHO WAS WANDA TALKING ABOUT AT THE END OF ENDGAME? WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE FOR MARVEL MOVIES ON MAY? WHY DID DOCTOR STRANGE NOT BATTLE T...
